The rise combines indexation with the €35.70 increase agreed in the 2021 social accord. Sector minimums (joint committees such as JC 200) can never be lower.

From gross to net

The employer first withholds a 13.07% personal social-security (RSZ/ONSS) contribution from gross pay. Payroll tax is then levied on the taxable wage; it is progressive and depends on family situation and dependent children. For low wages, the work bonus (social and fiscal) reduces these deductions.
