The Tour of Lombardy, the final cycling Monument of the season, is currently underway. A breakaway group of fourteen riders, including three Belgians, is leading with a limited advantage. However, the team of Belgian top favourite Remco Evenepoel is controlling the race, as reported by Sporza in their live coverage.
Breakaway and Evenepoel's rivals
Fourteen riders in the breakaway are attempting to extend their lead, but the presence of Remco Evenepoel's team in the peloton is limiting their room to manoeuvre. Besides Evenepoel, strong contenders such as Isaac Del Toro, Paul Seixas, Giulio Ciccone, and Tom Pidcock are closely watched. Young Belgian rider Jarno Widar is also among the participants, and his performance in this prestigious Monument is being followed with keen interest by Belgian cycling enthusiasts.
